한국의 대표적인 권오상 작가님의 전시에 브랜드 오끼뜨가 협업하게 되었습니다. 이번 전시에서는 사진과 조각이라는 서로 다른 매체를 혼합하여 실험적인 작업을 선보입니다. 권오상 작가님은 '사진조각' 장르를 개척하셨으며, 그의 대표적인 연작인 '매스패턴스(Mass-patterns)'의 형식에 20세기 영국의 조각가 헨리 무어의 작품에서 영향을 받은 추상적인 형태를 결합하여 새로운 조형성을 시도합니다.

이번 전시에서는 브랜드 오끼뜨 외 서울의 라이프스타일을 대표하는 9개 브랜드와의 콜라보레이션을 통해 독특하고 다채로운 작품들이 선보일 예정입니다. 전시장에는 작품들 속에 서울의 일상을 점유하는 다양한 사물들이 매끄럽게 흐르는 추상적 형태 속에 담겨 있습니다.

이 작품들은 의자, 신발, 향수, 안경과 같은 일상적인 물건들과 함께 한강, 네온사인, 킥보드, 거리 음식 등 상징적인 서울의 풍경을 상징적으로 담고 있습니다. 권오상 작가님은 사진 촬영이나 거울 효과와 같은 빛의 유희를 활용하여, 서울의 사물들을 대상에서 피사체로, 작품에서 반사체로 변주하고 재생산하는 과정을 반복합니다.

전시장에 찾아온 관람객들은 빛의 움직임 속에서 시각적으로도, 물질적으로도 변화하는 이미지들을 만나며, 만화경처럼 빛나는 사물들의 도시인 서울을 경험할 수 있습니다. 브랜드 오끼뜨의 아이템을 권오상 작가님의 작품 속에 녹여내어 더욱 색다른 시각 경험을 선사할 예정입니다.


Brand oggitt has collaborated with renowned Korean artist Kwon Ohsang for his exhibition. This exhibition presents experimental works that combine different mediums of photography and sculpture. Kwon Ohsang, known for pioneering the genre of "photo-sculpture," explores new forms of abstraction by merging the influences of Henry Moore, a 20th-century British sculptor, into his signature series "Mass-patterns."

In this exhibition, the collaboration with Brand oggitt and nine other brands representing Seoul's lifestyle will showcase unique and diverse artworks. The artworks seamlessly integrate various objects that occupy Seoul's everyday life within smooth abstract forms. Symbolic Seoul landscapes such as the Han River, neon signs, kick scooters, and street food intertwine with everyday items like chairs, shoes, perfumes, and glasses.

Kwon Ohsang utilizes techniques such as photography, mirror effects, and the play of light to repeatedly transform Seoul's objects from subjects into reflections within his artwork. Visitors to the exhibition will experience the city of Seoul, filled with sparkling objects, through visual and material transformations in the movement of light. The incorporation of Brand Oggitte's items into Kwon Ohsang's artworks will provide a distinct visual experience.
